In season 2 episode 19 of Who's the Boss?, titled "Losers and Other Strangers," the Bower household is in disarray as Samantha's boyfriend, Todd, has broken up with her and Tony's visiting grandfather, Papa Micelli, is driving everyone crazy with his constant complaining.
Feeling down about her breakup, Samantha turns to her friend, Bonnie, for comfort. However, Bonnie seems to be a bad influence on Samantha as she encourages her to skip school and engage in wild behavior. Tony is concerned about Samantha's behavior and decides to help her through this difficult time.
Meanwhile, Angela has her hands full with Papa Micelli, who is constantly criticizing her cooking and cleaning skills. She decides to enlist Mona's help in entertaining him, but their efforts prove to be unsuccessful. Papa Micelli even goes as far as to suggest that Tony should leave Angela and find a new wife.
In an attempt to cheer Samantha up, Tony invites Todd over to the house to reconcile with her. However, things take a turn for the worse when Todd brings along a new girlfriend. Samantha becomes upset and storms out of the house.
As the episode progresses, Tony, Angela, and Mona all come together to try and solve the various problems plaguing the household. Ultimately, they are able to reconcile with each other and bring the family back together.
"Losers and Other Strangers" is a heartwarming episode that highlights the importance of family support during difficult times. It deals with issues such as breakups, grief, and intergenerational conflict in a lighthearted and humorous way.
