Whitney is in Lansing, Michigan for the Level 9 Eastern Championships. Whitney was hoping to finish the season strong with a solid performance. Unfortunately, Whitney had a tough meet, but met the challenge of under performing with a great attitude and even some smiles. Whitney had a great time seeing old friends and meeting some new ones.

8. Regional Championships Level 9 Gymnastics

April 12, 2017

It's time for the 2017 USA Gymnastics Region 8 Level 9 Championships. As a result, Whitney and Blakely were off again on another road trip. The girls had a great time at the hotel, and then it was off to the meet. Whitney did great coming in 4th place in the all around, which was good enough to qualify her for Eastern Nationals coming up in Lancing, Michigan.

7. State Championship Level 9 Gymnastics - All Around Champion

March 20, 2017

It's time for the 2017 Level 9 Georgia State Gymnastics Meet. Whitney had had a pretty good season so far, but she hadn't quite put it all together yet in one great competition. So, it was time to do that! Whitney did awesome at this meet. She won first place on floor, vault, and all around, and she also got second place on bars and beam. Whitney is Georgia's Level 9 All Around State Champion!

6. 5th Level 9 Gymnastics Meet - Courtney Kupets Pink Invitational

March 4, 2017

Whitney is in Savannah, Georgia for the 2017 Courtney Kupets Pink Invitational Gymnastics Meet! Here the whole family takes another road trip to the East Coast in order to cheer on Whitney at this awesome annual event. The meet takes place on Whitney's 12th birthday, so that makes it just a little more special.

5. 4th Level 9 Gymnastics Meet - Southern Charm Classic

March 2, 2017

Time to compete at the Southern Charm Classic Gymnastics Meet at the Lakepoint Sports Complex in Emerson, Georgia. Here Whitney straps on her competition leotard for her 4th Level 9 gymnastics meet.

4. 3rd Level 9 Gymnastics Meet - Snot on the Vault Blood on the Beam

Whitney was excited for this gymnastics competition! All of her grandparents were in town to watch her compete. Things didn't start out so great, as Whitney twisted her ankle in warm ups and then fell twice in her floor routine. She had a great vault, even though her runny nose got all over the vault table. Luckily Coach Gerson was looking out for her. Whitney also had a beautiful bar routine.

3. 2nd Level 9 Gymnastics Meet

Whitney had her first official level 9 gymnastics meet at the Sand Dollar Whitlow Invitational Meet in Kissimmee, Florida at the ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex. She did great despite a bad cold and a deep cut on her toe. Whitney finished in first place on floor exercise, uneven bars, balance beam, and all around.

2. 1st Level 9 Gymnastics Competition

Whitney had her first level 9 Gymnastics meet! It was what's called a mock meet, in that there was only one team competing (Whitney's team). But there were official judges giving out official scores that count towards qualifying for the Georgia State meet. Whitney did great, even though she was not completely ready with all of her level 9 skills yet.

1. Elite Compulsory Qualifier - Myrtle Beach Gymnastics Cup

Whitney and 2 of her teammates headed to Myrtle Beach, South Carolina for the Myrtle Beach Gymnastics Cup - Elite Qualifier. Nobody was sure if Whitney was ready for the event (not even Whitney) because she had only completed the entire compulsory bars routine once in her life, a week and a half ago. Whitney needed to score a 33.0 or better in the all around in order to qualify.
