As Waldo and his friends journey to New Mexico for the annual Pepper Hunt, they find themselves getting lost in the desert. With the help of Waldette's compass, they manage to make their way to the starting line just in time. The Pepper Hunt is a race to find the biggest and hottest pepper in the desert, and whoever finds it wins a prize. Waldo, Waldette, and Wizard Whitebeard team up to search for the pepper, while Odlaw and his team resort to cheating. As the race goes on, the teams encounter various obstacles such as quicksand and steep canyons.
