Wheeler Dealers season 7 episode 20 continues the team's quest to restore a beautiful BMW M3, which they acquired in the previous episode. The episode picks up where the last one left off, with mechanic Edd China hard at work on the car, trying to fix some of the major mechanical issues he discovered in the first episode.
As he works, presenter Mike Brewer is busy trying to source the parts they need to finish the job. One of the key components they need is a new timing chain, which proves difficult to find. But after a bit of searching, Mike is able to track down one that will do the job.
With the new parts in hand, Edd sets to work on the car's engine, removing the old timing chain and replacing it with the new one. But as he works, he discovers more issues with the engine, including some worn-out gaskets. He quickly gets to work replacing those as well, hoping that the repairs will solve the car's engine problems.
Once the engine work is done, Edd turns his attention to the car's suspension. The BMW M3 is known for its sporty handling, and Edd wants to make sure the car is up to its full potential. He installs new struts and springs, as well as new bushings and ball joints. It's a lot of work, but Edd is determined to get it done right.
While Edd is focused on the mechanical work, Mike is busy working on the car's appearance. He found some beautiful new wheels for the car, and he's also sourcing new badges and emblems to replace the old, worn-out ones. He also wants to give the car a new paint job, but he's still debating on the color.
Back in the garage, Edd has finished the suspension work and is now tackling the brakes. He installs new calipers, rotors, and pads, making sure the car will stop as well as it handles. And as he works, he's pleased to find that the engine repairs seem to have done the trick—the car is running more smoothly than ever.
With the car nearly complete, Mike and Edd take it out for a test drive. They put the car through its paces, testing out the new suspension and brakes. And they're both thrilled to discover that the car is performing better than they ever could have hoped.
With the test drive finished, the team brings the car back to the garage for a final inspection. They're thrilled with the work they've done, and they're confident that the car is ready for its new owner. But before they put it up for sale, they have one more surprise in store for the BMW M3.
Mike reveals that he's decided to paint the car in a beautiful shade of blue. It's a bold move, but everyone agrees that it really makes the car stand out. With the painting complete, the car is finally finished.
The episode ends with Mike and Edd putting the car up for sale. They're both sad to see it go, but they're proud of the work they've done. And as the episode draws to a close, it's clear that the BMW M3 has found a new home with someone who will appreciate all the love and care that went into restoring it.
