Franky continues to struggle with her return to Wentworth as she grapples with her past and the role she played in Allie's drug addiction. Meanwhile, Allie's addiction reaches a critical point and she turns to Kaz for help. Kaz, who is determined to turn over a new leaf, sets out to help Allie and kick-start her own rehabilitation. However, her plans are derailed when she learns that an old acquaintance has arrived at Wentworth.
The new arrival is Marie Winter, a former associate of Jacs Holt and an infamous underworld figure. Despite her reputation, Marie quickly gains the trust and loyalty of some of the inmates, including Rita and Ruby. However, Marie's motives are unclear and her arrival sets off a chain of events that threatens to disrupt the balance of power at Wentworth.
Meanwhile, Boomer begins to grow suspicious of Liz, who is struggling with her own addiction to prescription drugs. Boomer decides to investigate, but her efforts are hampered when she is coerced into carrying out a task for Marie. As tensions rise, the Angel of Wentworth returns, determined to get revenge on the people she feels have wronged her.
