As the second season of the Australian television drama Wentworth unfolds, the prison remains a place of tension and danger, with each inmate struggling to survive within the rigidly controlled environment. Episode two of the season, titled "Whatever It Takes," picks up where the first episode left off, with new inmate, Joan "The Freak" Ferguson, stirring up trouble and dissension among the prisoners.

The episode opens with the prisoners still grappling with the aftermath of Ferguson's arrival. Her presence has turned the already tense prison into an even more volatile environment, with everyone on edge and unsure of who to trust. Frustrated by the lack of action being taken against Ferguson, prisoner Franky Doyle (played by Nicole da Silva) is determined to take matters into her own hands. She hatches a plan to get close to Ferguson and bring her down from the inside.

Meanwhile, prison officer Will Jackson (played by Rob Lowe) is struggling with his own demons. He's still reeling from the events of the previous season, during which he was forced to shoot an inmate in self-defense. Jackson is plagued by guilt and nightmares, and he's starting to lose control of his emotions. His fellow officers are beginning to notice, and they're concerned about his ability to perform his duties.

As tensions rise within the prison, relationships are also tested. Governor Erica Davidson (played by Leeanna Walsman) is struggling with her feelings for inmate Frankie Doyle. The two have a complicated history, and they're still trying to work through their feelings for each other. Meanwhile, inmate Bea Smith (played by Danielle Cormack) is still reeling from the revelations that came to light in the previous season. She's struggling to come to terms with the truth about her husband's death, and she's determined to get revenge on the person responsible.

As the episode progresses, tensions continue to boil over. Franky's plan to take down Ferguson is put into action, and the consequences are far-reaching. Will Jackson's emotional state begins to spiral out of control, and he makes a decision that could have serious consequences. And Bea's thirst for revenge takes her down a dangerous path.

Despite the challenges the inmates face, there are also moments of connection and support. Some of the prisoners find solace in each other, forming unlikely alliances to help them navigate life behind bars. But for others, the isolation and fear that come with their imprisonment are too much to bear.

The second episode of Wentworth season two, "Whatever It Takes," is a tense and emotionally charged installment of the series. As the characters face new challenges and make difficult choices, the viewer is drawn deeper into the complex world of the prison and the people within it. With its strong performances and gripping storyline, this episode is sure to keep viewers on the edge of their seats.
