Ep 8. A Wing and a Prayer

In season 1 episode 8 of We'll Meet Again, titled "A Wing and a Prayer," we follow the stories of two individuals who were affected by World War II in very different ways. Bill and his family were devastated and had no idea if he was alive or dead. After the war ended, Bill and his mother searched for any information about his father's fate. It wasn't until many years later that they would finally get some answers.

Throughout the episode, we follow Ann and Bill as they search for answers about their loved ones. Ann travels to London to meet with a historian who has been collecting personal stories of those who served in the WAAF. She also visits the Imperial War Museum to see artifacts from the war and reflect on her time in the service. As Ann learns more about the WAAF and the sacrifices made by those who served, she feels proud to have been a part of something so important.

Meanwhile, Bill travels to England to visit the crash site where his father's plane went down. He meets with local historians and aviation enthusiasts who have been studying the crash for many years. Through their research, Bill learns about the heroic actions of his father and the crew, who sacrificed themselves to save others. Bill is moved to tears as he sees the wreckage and realizes the depth of his father's bravery.

In the end, both Ann and Bill are able to connect with others who share their experiences and learn more about the history of World War II. Though their stories are different, they both feel a sense of closure and gratitude for the sacrifices made by those who served in the war. We'll Meet Again is a powerful reminder of the human impact of war and the importance of connecting with our past.
