Nancy Botwin (Mary-Louise Parker), a suburban housewife in a California town, becomes a drug dealer after her husband dies and she finds herself in dire financial straits. In season 3 episode 15 of Weeds, entitled "Go," Nancy's drug-dealing business hits a roadblock as she struggles with suppliers and competition from other dealers. Nancy also faces a custody battle over her son, Silas (Hunter Parrish), with her estranged husband's sister, who believes Nancy is an unfit mother.
The episode starts with Nancy and Andy (Justin Kirk), her brother-in-law, discussing the future of their drug business after their main supplier, U-Turn (Page Kennedy), is killed. They realize that they need a new supplier and decide to reach out to Heylia (Tonye Patano), a former supplier who now runs a marijuana cafe. Nancy and Andy go to Heylia's cafe, where they meet Conrad (Romany Malco), a former associate of the family who has started his own business.
Conrad agrees to supply Nancy and Andy with marijuana, but negotiations are tense as Conrad is dismissive of Nancy's business skills. Nancy manages to secure the supply by offering a much higher price than Conrad initially proposed. However, Nancy and Andy fear retaliation from Conrad, who threatens to take over their operation.
Meanwhile, Nancy's son Silas is attending court hearings where his paternal aunt is trying to win custody of him. The aunt accuses Nancy of being an unfit mother due to her drug-dealing business. Silas is also struggling with his own problems, as his girlfriend has just broken up with him. Nancy tries to support Silas but is distracted by her own problems.
In the second half of the episode, Heylia's cafe is raided by the police, who confiscate all the marijuana. With their supply gone, Nancy and Andy are left with no options. They consider going to Conrad to try and buy back the marijuana they sold him, but fear the worst. Nancy worries about the implications of getting Silas mixed up in the drug business and fears for his safety.
The episode ends with Nancy driving to Conrad's warehouse to confront him. She arrives to find that Conrad has been badly beaten and is in the hospital. Nancy realizes that she may be in danger and quickly leaves the scene.
Overall, "Go" is a tense, action-packed episode of Weeds that highlights the risks and challenges of the drug trade. It also delves into the personal struggles of the characters, particularly Nancy and Silas, who are both trying to make sense of their lives amidst the chaos of the drug world.
