In We Bare Bears season 4 episode 17, Ranger Games, the Bears discover their love for the great outdoors as they compete in the annual Ranger Games. The episode begins with the Bear trio — Grizz, Panda, and Ice Bear— opening the windows to their cave on a beautiful sunny day, and all three of them take a deep breath of fresh air. They all realize they are in need of a change of scenery and decide to get out of the cave and explore the wilderness. They end up discovering the Ranger Games, an annual outdoor competition where wildlife rangers compete with each other in various outdoor activities such as axe throwing, bear wrestling, archery, and more. The games are also open to the public, so anyone can participate.
Grizz, Panda, and Ice Bear are thrilled to participate and sign up as team “We Bare Rangers.” They get to practice their outdoor skills and come up with a plan to win. However, their preparations did not go as planned. During their practice, they discovered that they are not good at axe throwing or any of the outdoor activities required to compete in the Ranger Games. This doesn't discourage them; they want to keep going despite the fact that they are not good on their first attempt.
On the day of the games, the Bears arrive at the event and realize they're the only team made up of non-Rangers. They also discover that Ranger Tabes, who they have helped in the past, is one of the competition's judges. They see the competition as a chance to repay her kindness and help her win, but there's one small problem: Ranger Tabes is the one who has to judge the competition. Despite this, the Bears continue to participate and grow as a team, determined to help Ranger Tabes succeed.
As the competition continues, the We Bare Rangers' lack of skill becomes more and more evident. They try their hardest but are unable to make much headway. Even so, they continue to smile and have fun, remembering that the most important thing is to have fun and make friends in the process. It's not just about winning. They realize that the competition, while fun, is not the end goal, it's about the experience and the bonds they form along the way, which makes the journey worth it.
The final competition is a bear wrestling event, and the teams are required to fight a real bear. Ranger Tabes, who is the judge for this competition, faces an obstacle as she realizes that the bear she was going to use for the competition has escaped. The Bears come to her rescue, using all the new outdoor skills they learned during the competition and find the missing bear. They bring it back in time for Ranger Tabes to judge the final competition.
The Bears end up being the last team to compete for the bear wrestling event. They look pale in comparison to the other teams and are looked upon with pity. However, the Bears end up in a hilarious fashion using their skills learned in the other events (such as using coordination with each other for archery) to win the bear wrestling competition. They eventually take the bear to bring it back into the den.
In the end, the We Bare Rangers end up winning the Ranger Games and getting a trophy! Everyone is happy and congratulates each other. Ranger Tabes applauds the Bears for their efforts and ends up sharing a moment where she recalls her first Ranger Games as an amateur, where she didnt perform well, just like the Bears. Ranger Tabes also thanks the Bear Trio for helping her save the day by finding the missing bear. They all end up having a big feast around the fire and celebrate their victory.
We Bare Bears season 4 episode 17, Ranger Games, is a heartwarming episode that emphasizes the value of teamwork, and the importance of having fun and sticking together, even if you don't come out on top. The bears show that it's not about winning, but about the journey, and the memories you make along the way – even if it involves wrestling with a real bear.
