In the We Bare Bears season 3 episode 4 titled "Panda's Friend," we see the three bear brothers trying to help their shy and introverted panda brother, Panda, make some new friends. Panda has always been a bit of a loner and hasn't had much luck in the friendship department, so Grizzly and Ice Bear set out to help him find a new buddy.
As they wander through the park, they come across a new friend named Tom, who seems to be the perfect fit for Panda. Tom is a cool, laid-back, skateboarding turtle who is into all the same things as Panda. The two hit it off right away and start spending all their time together. But as the days go by, the other bears start to notice that something just isn't right with Tom.
Despite their initial enthusiasm for Tom, Grizzly and Ice Bear quickly become suspicious of the new friend. They begin to notice strange things about him, like how he always seems to be disappearing just when things start to get interesting. They also find out that Tom isn't actually a turtle at all, but rather a robot disguised as a turtle, which only adds to their suspicions.
As they investigate further, the bears start to uncover a sinister plot involving Tom's creator, who is determined to create the ultimate robotic friend for lonely people like Panda. Tom is just the latest in a line of prototypes, and his creator is planning to use the data he gathers from his interactions with Panda to create an even more advanced robot.
Realizing the danger that Tom poses to their brother and their community, the bears set out to stop him and his creator once and for all. What follows is a series of thrilling chases and close calls as the bears pursue Tom and his creator through the city, culminating in a high-stakes showdown on the roof of a skyscraper.
Ultimately, the bears are able to triumph over the evil inventor and his robot creation, with Panda finally realizing that true friendship can't be manufactured or programmed. As they depart the scene, Panda is left with the knowledge that, while it may be difficult to make friends, the true ones are worth the effort and are always right there waiting for you when you need them.
