Ep 10. Rat in Shining Armor / Mrs. Gorf

In the first part of the episode, "Rat in Shining Armor," we see the students of Wayside School trying to navigate a rat infestation. A group of rats has taken over the cafeteria and the students are unable to eat their lunches in peace. Todd, the new kid in school, seems to be particularly bothered by the rats and is determined to get rid of them. He comes up with a plan to build a humane rat trap using a cardboard box, a stick, and some cheese as bait. He hopes to catch the rats and release them into the wild, far away from Wayside School.

Meanwhile, Myron is convinced that he has a special connection with the rats and that they will never harm him. He tries to pet them and even shares his lunch with them. However, this backfires when one of the rats steals his sandwich and he is left hungry.

As Todd's plan gets underway, the students realize that they may have underestimated the intelligence of the rats. The traps that they set up are quickly dismantled and the rats seem to be one step ahead of them at every turn. In the end, Todd and Myron discover that the rats were only after a box of cupcakes that had been left in the cafeteria. They devise a plan to lure the rats away from the school with a cupcake trail, and the episode ends with the students happily eating their lunches in peace once again.

In the second part of the episode, "Mrs. Gorf," the students are introduced to their new teacher, Mrs. Gorf. At first glance, Mrs. Gorf seems like a friendly and kind teacher. However, it quickly becomes apparent that she has a dark side. Whenever a student misbehaves, she transforms them into an apple using her magic powers. The other students are initially horrified by this, but soon come to accept it as a normal part of their school experience.

However, things take a turn for the worse when Mrs. Gorf turns Todd into an apple for questioning her teaching methods. The other students realize that they need to take action and come up with a plan to rescue Todd and put an end to Mrs. Gorf's tyranny.

The students take advantage of Mrs. Gorf's weakness for compliments and flattery, and trick her into turning herself into an apple. They then use her magic powers to turn all of the apple students back into humans. The episode ends with Mrs. Gorf being taken away by the school authorities, and the students cheering in triumph.
