Waterfront House Hunting is a popular reality TV show that features potential homeowners searching for their dream waterfront property. In season 1 episode 6, titled Sky High in San Diego, our property seekers are on the hunt for the perfect home with a high-rise view in the beautiful city of San Diego, California.
The episode begins with host Nick Waldner introducing us to the three couples who are looking for their ideal waterfront home in San Diego. First up are Chris and Stacy who are a young couple looking for a place to start their lives together. They hope to find a spacious condo with breathtaking views of the ocean. Next, we meet Francine and Raymond, retirees who want to enjoy their retirement by living in a luxury high-rise with a view of San Diego Bay. Lastly, there's Todd and Monica, a couple with grown-up children who are looking for a place to relax and entertain guests.
The first property the couples visit is a stunning 2-bedroom condo in the heart of downtown San Diego. The condo is situated on the 25th floor of a luxury high-rise and offers panoramic views of the city and the bay. Chris and Stacy are immediately drawn to the condo's modern design and open floor plan. The view from the floor-to-ceiling windows is breathtaking, and they can imagine themselves having coffee on the balcony every morning. Francine and Raymond are also impressed with the condo's amenities and the building's well-appointed amenities, including a rooftop pool, spa, and fitness center. While Todd and Monica appreciate the views, they feel that the condo is not quite spacious enough for them to entertain their guests comfortably.
The second property the couples visit is a spacious 3-bedroom luxury condo located in the Coronado Shores area. This property provides expansive views of the Pacific Ocean and the city skyline. It has a grand entrance leading into a large living space, open kitchen with high-end appliances, large windows allowing plenty of light, and a large balcony where one can enjoy the ocean breeze and the view. Francine and Raymond love the location, with the easy access to the beach and the amenities available. Todd and Monica are impressed with the size of the property and the fact that it can accommodate their guests comfortably.
The third property on the list was a modern chic apartment in the highly sought after East Village area of San Diego. The property was located on the 22nd floor and offered floor-to-ceiling windows, a balcony, and magnificent views of the city. Chris and Stacy feel that this is the perfect location for them since it’s just a short walk to the Gaslamp Quarter, where the cultural scene takes place. Francine and Raymond aren't too familiar with the area but it makes them feel comfortable knowing there is access to a transit center nearby. Monica loves the modern design of the property and the floor plan that creates an open space that is perfect for entertaining.
The final property on the tour is a 3-bedroom modern single-family home overlooking the Pacific Ocean. The home boasts of a modern open space concept with high ceilings, large windows, and ample natural light throughout. The property also has a large balcony, that provides stunning ocean views, and a massive rooftop deck that can be used for outdoor entertainment. Todd and Monica are impressed with the property's size and its serene location nearby the beach. Chris and Stacy loved how the backyard had a lovely infinity pool, and it was large enough for outdoor activities, which is an absolute plus point for them. Francine and Raymond are blown away by the master suite with the massive walk-in closet and the jetted bathtub overlooking the ocean.
The episode concludes with the couples deciding on their favorite waterfront home with the best high-rise city view in San Diego. It ends on a memorable note as Nick Waldner bids farewell to the couples, wishing them all the best in enjoying their dream waterfront homes in San Diego.
