In Warehouse 13 season 1 episode 3, entitled "Magnetism," Secret Service agents Pete Lattimer and Myka Bering have to track down a lost artifact that has been causing bizarre and dangerous effects on people in the surrounding area. This time they're dealing with a magnetic field generator, a device that was invented by Nikola Tesla and has fallen into the wrong hands.
The generator has been causing all sorts of problems, the most serious of which is that it is severely disrupting compasses and other navigational systems. The agents first get wind of this when a plane is reported missing, and they quickly realize that the generator must be responsible. They soon find that the generator is in the possession of a young man named Damon, who is using it to steal from banks and jewelry stores.
But things are not as simple as they seem, because Damon is not just a common criminal. He has developed a strange power, which allows him to manipulate magnetic fields and fight back against anyone who tries to take the generator from him. Pete and Myka are in for a difficult and dangerous mission as they try to confront Damon and retrieve the artifact from him.
As the agents investigate further, they also discover that another artifact is causing people in the area to become attracted to each other. This creates some strange and amusing situations, such as Myka becoming attracted to Damon even as they're fighting each other, and Pete being pursued by two women who can't resist him.
The storyline of "Magnetism" is full of twists and turns, and the action is fast-paced and exciting throughout the episode. As always, Pete and Myka are a great pair of protagonists, with their chemistry and banter making for entertaining viewing.
One of the best things about this episode is the way it delves into the history of Nikola Tesla and his inventions. Fans of science fiction and history will no doubt appreciate the references to Tesla's real-life accomplishments and his mysterious legacy.
Overall, "Magnetism" is a fantastic addition to the first season of Warehouse 13, with a great cast of characters, an intriguing plotline, and plenty of fun nods to science fiction and history alike. It's sure to keep viewers on the edge of their seats as they follow the adventures of Pete and Myka as they race against time to save the day.
