Warehouse 13 is a science-fiction television series that premiered in 2009. The show centers around two Secret Service agents, Pete Lattimer and Myka Bering, who are recruited by Artie Nielsen to work for the warehouse, a top-secret government facility that houses supernatural artifacts and objects with mystical powers. In season 1 episode 1, titled "Pilot Part 1 / Part 2", we are introduced to the main characters and the premise of the series.

The episode begins with a prologue set in a Civil War battlefield. We see a man searching for a powerful artifact, which he eventually finds and uses to win the battle. Cut to the present day, where we meet Pete Lattimer (Eddie McClintock), a Secret Service agent who is attending a presidential event in Detroit. During the event, a strange artifact causes an explosion that kills several people, including the president. Pete is blamed for the incident and is reassigned to the mysterious Warehouse 13.

Pete arrives at the warehouse and meets its eccentric caretaker, Artie Nielsen (Saul Rubinek), who is hesitant to let him in. Artie explains to Pete that the warehouse is home to powerful artifacts from history that have been collected and stored for safekeeping. Artie also introduces him to his new partner, Myka Bering (Joanne Kelly), who is a former agent in the Secret Service's Art Crimes division.

Pete and Myka are tasked with retrieving an artifact that has been stolen from a museum in Los Angeles. The artifact is a pair of glasses that belonged to Edgar Allan Poe, which have the power to make the wearer homicidal. Pete and Myka travel to LA and track down the thief, who has already put on the glasses and is now on a killing spree.

As they try to stop the killer, Pete and Myka discover that there are other people searching for the artifact as well. They encounter a mysterious woman named Helena G. Wells (Jaime Murray), who claims to be an expert in artifacts and is also searching for the glasses. Wells is revealed to be working with a group called the "Regents", who oversee the warehouse and its operations.

Pete and Myka finally confront the killer and manage to retrieve the glasses. They return to the warehouse, and Artie explains that the glasses are just one of many dangerous artifacts that are stored there. In the second part of the pilot episode, we see how Pete and Myka face their next assignment.

In "Pilot Part 2", Pete and Myka are sent to South Dakota to investigate a series of strange incidents at a local prison. They discover that an artifact is causing the prisoners to behave erratically and violently, and they must find it before it can do more harm.

The agents learn that the artifact is a pocket watch that can control people's minds. They find the watch and attempt to destroy it, but they are interrupted by Helena Wells, who has returned to retrieve it. Wells reveals that the Regents have sent her to take the watch to prevent it from falling into the wrong hands.

Pete and Myka agree to hand over the watch to Wells, but they later discover that she has been manipulating them. They confront her again and manage to take the watch back. They return it to the warehouse, where Artie locks it away for safekeeping.

In the final scenes of the episode, we see the characters reflecting on their experiences and the danger that the artifacts pose. Pete and Myka express their doubts about the warehouse and their ability to keep the artifacts from causing harm. Artie assures them that they are the only ones who can do the job and that they must work together to protect the world from the supernatural.

Overall, "Pilot Part 1 / Part 2" is a strong start to the series. It introduces the main characters and sets up the premise of the show while also providing an engaging and entertaining storyline. The episode is full of action, humor, and mystery, and it leaves us eager to see what other artifacts the warehouse has in store for the agents.
