In the Walker, Texas Ranger season 5 episode 2, titled "Patriot," Ranger Cordell Walker and his partner, Ranger Trivette, are tasked with investigating a series of bombings that hit several military recruitment offices in Dallas. The episode starts with a powerful explosion that destroys the recruitment office of the US Army, killing several soldiers and civilians. The investigation points to a domestic terrorist group comprised of former military members who are against the US government's foreign policy and the military's recruitment tactics.

As Walker and Trivette gather evidence and interview witnesses, they are led to the leader of the group, a former Green Beret named Hank Stryker. Stryker is a bitter and disillusioned war veteran who believes that the US government is betraying its citizens by sending troops to fight wars in foreign countries. He sees himself as a patriot who is fighting for the rights of American citizens, and he is more than willing to use violence to make his point.

Walker and Trivette soon discover that Stryker has a complex plan to strike at the heart of the US military establishment. He has acquired a large amount of military-grade explosives and plans to blow up the Pentagon on the anniversary of the US Declaration of Independence. The two Rangers realize that they need to stop Stryker before he can carry out his deadly plan.

As they search for Stryker, Walker and Trivette are helped by a young soldier named Danny, who was the only survivor of the recruitment office bombing that they investigated at the beginning of the episode. Danny is a patriotic young man who loves his country and is eager to serve in the military, despite the terrible events that he has witnessed. He is determined to stop Stryker's group from causing more harm, and he offers his skills and knowledge of military tactics to the Rangers.

In a tense climax, Walker and Trivette track Stryker to the Pentagon. They engage in a deadly confrontation with Stryker and his men, who are armed with the explosives and ready to carry out their plan. The Rangers are outnumbered and outgunned, but they refuse to back down. With Danny's help, they manage to neutralize the threat and prevent the bombing, but not without paying a heavy price.

The episode ends with a somber scene in which Walker and Trivette reflect on the events they have just experienced. They know that while they have prevented a terrible tragedy, there are many other dangers out there. They also acknowledge that Danny and other young soldiers like him are the reason why they do what they do. They know that they have to keep fighting to protect their country and their fellow citizens, no matter the cost.

Overall, "Patriot" is a powerful and moving episode that explores the themes of patriotism, sacrifice, and the complex relationship between the military and civilian society. It features some intense action scenes, but it also has a deep emotional resonance that will leave viewers thinking long after the credits have rolled.
