Wagon Train season 6 episode 3, titled "The Madame Sagittarius Story," follows the wagon train as they pick up a new passenger, Madame Sagittarius, a traveling entertainer who performs as a fortune teller. The passengers are initially skeptical of her abilities, but as their journey progresses, they start to witness moments that make them wonder if there might be more to her predictions than they originally thought.
As Madame Sagittarius continues to perform for the passengers and help them better understand themselves and their futures, she forms a close bond with one of the train's leaders, Duke Shannon. The two of them engage in meaningful conversations about the nature of their work and the struggles that come with it. Meanwhile, tensions rise as some of the wagon train's other passengers begin to resent Madame Sagittarius for taking up too much time and being a distraction from their journey.
Despite the tension, Madame Sagittarius continues to offer her services to the passengers, even going so far as to predict that the train will face danger in the near future. Her predictions come true when the wagon train encounters a group of bandits who demand that the passengers hand over their valuables. As the bandits grow more violent, Madame Sagittarius uses her skills to help Duke and the other leaders of the wagon train protect the passengers and ward off the attackers.
In the aftermath of the attack, the passengers come to appreciate Madame Sagittarius more fully, and they begin to understand the value of learning more about themselves and their futures. The episode ends with the wagon train back on the road, Madame Sagittarius still performing her act, and the passengers moving forward with newfound respect for one another.
