Bugs Bunny is back, and this time he is not alone. In the show Wabbit, Bugs Bunny has been joined by Squeaks the squirrel, and they are set to take on the world together. In season 1 episode 1, named Buddha Bugs; Now and Zen (Pilot), we get our first taste of what this new show has to offer.
The episode opens with Bugs Bunny and Squeaks having a picnic in the woods. Bugs is peacefully meditating while Squeaks plays around with a yo-yo. Suddenly, their picnic is interrupted by a group of ninja rabbits who steal their food. Bugs tries to reason with them, but they are not interested in discussing anything. They simply want the food, and they use their ninja skills to try to take it.
This is where we get to see Bugs Bunny in action. He is as quick-witted and funny as ever, using his signature moves to outsmart the ninja rabbits. Squeaks might be small, but he is also smart and resourceful, helping Bugs out when needed. Together, they prove to be a formidable team, taking on the ninja rabbits and emerging victorious.
After defeating the ninja rabbits, Bugs and Squeaks continue their picnic. However, Bugs cannot stop thinking about what he just experienced. He thinks that there must be a better way to deal with conflict than fighting.
This leads Bugs to seek out advice from a wise old turtle named Master Shoobie. Master Shoobie teaches Bugs about the concept of zen, and how it can be used to find inner peace and avoid conflict. Bugs is skeptical at first, but he decides to give it a try.
The rest of the episode focuses on Bugs Bunny trying to find inner peace and avoid conflict using the principles of zen. This leads to some funny situations, as Bugs tries to apply zen to everyday situations. For example, when he accidentally steps on Squeaks' tail, he tries to apologize using zen language and ends up confusing Squeaks even more.
Overall, the episode does a great job of introducing us to the world of Wabbit, and showing us what makes Bugs Bunny and Squeaks such great characters. The animation is top-notch, and the humor is classic Bugs Bunny, with a modern twist. It is clear that the show is aimed at modern audiences, but it still manages to capture the spirit of the original Looney Tunes cartoons.
The episode also touches on some deeper themes, such as conflict resolution and inner peace. This makes it a great show for both kids and adults, as there is something here for everyone. Whether you are a fan of the old Looney Tunes cartoons, or you are looking for something new to watch, Wabbit is definitely worth checking out.
