Sgt. Beikirch rescued soldiers and provided medic care at Dak Seang Camp. Sfc. Littrell kept his battalion inspired, directed artillery and air support, and aided the wounded. 1st Lt. Thacker defended his base and stayed behind to cover retreat. Sp4c Fitzmaurice smothered the blast of an explosive charge to protect other soldiers. S/Sgt. Cavaiani's efforts allowed platoon members to escape.

Sgt. Roberts crawled rapidly toward the closest enemy bunker and despite intense fire, silenced it. He also assisted in moving wounded personnel to safety. CWO Novosel piloted/completed 15 hazardous extractions, leading to the rescue of 29 men. Sp4c. Baca threw himself on top of a grenade, saving the lives of 8 fellow soldiers.

Sgt. Davis crossed a river on an air mattress to help rescue 3 wounded American soldiers despite his own injuries. 1st Lt. Howard rescued his wounded leader and many others while he repulsed enemy attacks. Sp4 Lang single-handedly assaulted 3 enemy emplacements before being seriously wounded in Kiến Hòa Province.

Capt. Bucha destroyed an NVA bunker, supplied ammunition, and directed artillery and helicopter gunfire in driving out forces. The next morning, he rescued 3 soldiers previously cut off from company. Sgt. Patterson singlehandedly destroyed by rifle and grenade f5 enemy bunkers, 8 enemy soldiers and captured 7 weapons. S/Sgt. Bacon led his platoon under heavy fire destroying enemy emplacements.

Near Ap Dong An, Sp4c. Wetzel was severely wounded by an explosion which nearly severed his left arm. He continued to man his machine-gun and help other injured soldiers. SSG Dix led groups of local fighters in rescuing endangered civilians and driving Viet Cong forces out of buildings in the city. Capt. Jacobs despite injury, saved a fellow advisor, the wounded company commander, & 12 soldiers.

CWO Ferguson voluntarily piloted his aircraft through intense enemy fire to rescue the crew and passengers of a downed helicopter in Huế, Republic of Vietnam. Maj. Brady flew over 2,000 combat missions and evacuated more than 5000 wounded during his two tours of duty in South Vietnam. Sp5c Sasser refused medical attention as he braved rocket and automatic weapons fire to aid the wounded.

Sgt. Keller stormed a series of enemy bunkers which were firing on their unit. Despite the continuing intense enemy fire, Capt. Taylor moved forward on foot to rescue wounded men from burning vehicles and personally removed all the crewmen to the safety of a nearby dike. Sgt. Lynch rescued 3 wounded soldiers and stayed behind to protect them when the rest of the company withdrew.

Sp5c Hagemeister silenced an enemy machine gun, and killed 3 other enemy soldiers who were attempting to encircle his position. Sgt. McNerney although wounded, took command of his company and organized the unit's defense, exposing himself to hostile fire to mark and clear a helicopter landing site. SSG Stumpf braved heavy fire while rescuing 3 soldiers, and took out a vital enemy bunker.

Capt. Ray continued to direct his men from their surrounded position despite heavy fire. Sgt. Baker destroyed numerous enemy bunkers while aiding his wounded comrades to safety. Capt. Foley lead his unit, Company A, 2d Battalion, 27th Infantry, 25th Infantry Division, in an assault on a strong enemy position on November 5, 1966.

Capt. Donlon was the first member of the US Army Special Forces awarded the MOH. He directed the defense operations in the midst of an enemy barrage of mortar shells, falling grenades, and extremely heavy gunfire. Major Crandall flew 22 missions during the Battle of la Drang, supplying ammunition and evacuating the wounded. Specialist Rascon exposed himself to enemy fire and grenades as a medic.
