ViVid Strike! is a sports anime that follows the story of a young girl named Fuka Leventon, who lives in a peaceful town with her adoptive sister Rinne Berlinetta. The two of them are skilled fighters, but Fuka is not interested in pursuing a career as a fighter, unlike Rinne.
One day, Fuka's peaceful life is disrupted when Rinne is taken away by the organization called "Nirvana". Rinne is a fighter who participates in underground fights, and Nirvana is the organization that controls these fights. Fuka decides to rescue Rinne by joining Nirvana herself.
At Nirvana, Fuka trains to become a skilled fighter under the guidance of an experienced fighter named Vivio. Vivio becomes Fuka's mentor and helps her improve her skills. Fuka also makes new friends at Nirvana, including the cheerful and energetic fighter named Einhard Stratos and the quiet and serious fighter named Nove Nakajima.
ViVid Strike! is not just a show about fighting. It also explores the themes of friendship, growth, and self-discovery. Fuka learns a lot about herself as she trains to become a fighter, and she also learns to overcome her fears and insecurities. She discovers a new passion for fighting, and this newfound passion drives her to become stronger.
The show has a diverse and interesting cast of characters, each with their own unique personalities and backstories. We see the characters struggle with their own personal issues, such as Einhard's desire to prove herself to her family and Nove's difficulty in opening up to others.
ViVid Strike! also features some impressive action scenes. The fights are well choreographed and visually stunning, with each fighter showcasing their unique fighting style. The show does a great job of balancing the action with the character development and story progression.
One of the standout aspects of the show is its animation. The fight scenes are beautifully animated, with fluid movement and dynamic camera angles. The character designs are also well done, each character looking distinct and memorable.
The voice acting is also worth noting, with the talented Inori Minase, Yui Ogura, and Mamiko Noto lending their voices to the main characters. The music is also great, with a catchy opening theme song and a fitting score throughout the show.
Overall, ViVid Strike! is an enjoyable and well-rounded anime. It has a good mix of action, drama, and character development, and a likable cast of characters. It may not be the most groundbreaking or innovative anime out there, but it's definitely worth watching for fans of the sports genre.
