In the second episode of Vikings season 6, titled "The Prophet," we witness the aftermath of the attack on Lagertha's village. As Lagertha deals with the devastating loss of her people, Bjorn and Ivar engage in a power struggle over the leadership of the Vikings. Meanwhile, in Kiev, Prince Oleg faces a new challenge as he seeks to solidify his grip on power.
The episode begins with Lagertha surveying the damage of the attack on her village. As she mourns the loss of her people, she struggles to come to terms with the fact that she is no longer the strong and fearless warrior she once was. With her future uncertain, she turns to the seer for guidance.
Meanwhile, Bjorn and Ivar are at odds over who should lead the Vikings. Bjorn argues that he is the rightful heir to the throne, while Ivar believes that he is the better leader. Their disagreements lead to a heated confrontation, and it becomes clear that the two brothers are on a collision course.
In Kiev, Prince Oleg faces a new challenge as he tries to consolidate his power. With the help of his new advisor, the mysterious Prophet, Oleg sets out to eliminate his enemies and cement his position as ruler of the city. However, his methods are brutal and merciless, and not everyone is willing to go along with his plans.
Throughout the episode, we see the characters grappling with their faith and their beliefs. Lagertha turns to the seer in hopes of finding some sort of guidance or comfort, while Prince Oleg becomes increasingly obsessed with his new prophet and his visions of the future. Bjorn and Ivar, on the other hand, seem to be driven by a different kind of faith – the belief in their own abilities and their entitlement to power.
As the episode comes to a close, the characters are faced with new challenges and obstacles that threaten to unravel their fragile alliances. Whether they will be able to overcome these challenges and emerge victorious remains to be seen. One thing is clear, however – the world of Vikings is one filled with bloody battles, complex relationships, and intense rivalries. And in "The Prophet," we see this world in all its brutal, unforgiving splendor.
