The Last Ship is the tenth episode of Vikings season 4. In this episode, the Viking army continues their attack on Paris. Ragnar and his warriors are determined to breach the gates of the city and take it for themselves.
Meanwhile, back in Kattegat, Aslaug struggles to maintain control over the kingdom in Ragnar's absence. She must also contend with her own personal demons as she deals with the aftermath of her affair with Bjorn's former lover, Harbard.
As the Vikings draw closer to victory in Paris, the Franks become increasingly desperate. The King orders the construction of a massive fleet of ships, hoping to use them to destroy the Viking fleet and drive them away for good.
The Viking warriors are wary of the Frankish fleet and its potential to crush their ships. Ragnar decides to send a small team of scouts to investigate the Frankish ships and determine the best course of action.
As the scouts set out on their mission, Ragnar is forced to confront his own mortality. He begins to experience strange visions and sees visions of the gods. These visions cause him to become increasingly introspective, questioning his own beliefs and the choices he has made.
As the Viking army continues to pound the walls of Paris, the Frankish defenders begin to crumble. But even as victory seems within the Vikings' grasp, they soon discover that the Frankish fleet is sailing towards them.
In the face of this new threat, Ragnar must make some difficult choices. Will he risk everything to fight for the city he has dreamed of conquering, or will he retreat and regroup?
The Last Ship is a thrilling episode of Vikings that explores themes of strategy, leadership, and mortality. It is a must-watch for fans of the show, and is sure to leave viewers on the edge of their seats.
