In the fourteenth episode of the first season of Victorious, titled "Rex Dies," the students of Hollywood Arts are working on a puppet theater project for Sikowitz's class. Each student has been paired up with a partner to create a puppet show, and Tori is paired up with Robbie, who is controlling his puppet, Rex.
Throughout the episode, Robbie becomes increasingly obsessed with Rex, to the point where he starts neglecting his other responsibilities and friends. Tori tries to help him snap out of it, but he doesn't listen.
Things take a turn for the worse when Rex suddenly "dies" during a rehearsal. Robbie is devastated, and the other students are shocked. Tori decides to make a tribute video for Rex, but when she shows it to the class, it turns out that Robbie had been faking Rex's death the whole time to get attention. The episode ends with Robbie realizing the error of his ways and apologizing to his friends.
Overall, "Rex Dies" is a lighthearted cautionary tale about the dangers of obsession and the importance of honesty. The puppet theater project is a fun backdrop for the story, and the episode's humor and heart make it a standout in the first season of Victorious.
