The episode begins with Veronica starting her new job as a bartender at the Neptune Grand. Despite her reservations about working at a hotel where she was once banned, she proves herself to be a natural behind the bar. Meanwhile, Keith is at the Sheriff's office searching for leads in the Dean O'Dell murder case. While he's there, he runs into Mac, who is working on a computer virus that she believes may have been used to cover up evidence in the case. When she shows Keith the virus, he's interested in learning more, and they agree to work together.
Back at the Neptune Grand, Veronica gets a visit from Parker, who asks for her help in finding out who raped her at the party. Veronica agrees to help, and with Parker's help, she begins to track down the men who were at the party. Eventually, she finds a man named Josh, who she believes is the prime suspect in the case. With Parker's encouragement, Veronica decides to go undercover to try and catch Josh in the act.
Meanwhile, Keith and Mac continue their investigation into the Dean O'Dell case. With the help of some computer forensics, they are able to determine that a student named Tim Foyle may have been involved in the murder. However, when they go to question him, they find that he's gone missing. With no other leads, Keith and Mac decide to keep an eye on Tim's roommate to see if he knows anything.
Back at the Neptune Grand, Logan shows up at the bar to help Veronica with her stakeout. They spend several nights watching Josh, but they don't see anything suspicious. Eventually, Veronica decides to confront Josh, but he denies any involvement in the rape. However, after she leaves, he is seen in a car with a mystery woman who is later revealed to be his accomplice.
As the episode comes to a close, Keith and Mac follow Tim's roommate to a bar, where they find him talking to a woman who looks suspiciously like Tim. When the woman sees them, she runs, and they give chase. However, they lose her in the crowd, leaving them with no leads. Meanwhile, Veronica continues to dig deeper into the rape case, determined to bring the perpetrator to justice.
