Ep 13. Ambush

SPOILER ALERT: This description contains spoilers for Vanderpump Rules season 5 episode 12.

In episode 13 of Vanderpump Rules season 5, titled "Ambush," tensions run high between the SUR staff as they continue to navigate their personal and professional relationships.

The episode picks up where episode 12 left off, with Jax Taylor confronting Tom Sandoval about his intentions to "ambush" him at his upcoming birthday party. Jax is furious that Tom plans to confront him about spreading rumors that his girlfriend Brittany hooked up with Kristen Doute. Tom insists that he just wants to clear the air, but Jax is skeptical.

Meanwhile, Stassi Schroeder and Katie Maloney-Schwartz are frantically trying to put together a surprise party for Jax's birthday. They enlist the help of Lisa Vanderpump and her staff to decorate the venue and provide catering. But when Jax arrives, he's surprised to see his ex-girlfriend Stassi there. The tension between them is palpable, and things only escalate when Tom arrives.

After some awkward small talk, Tom takes Jax aside to try and talk things out. Jax is immediately defensive, accusing Tom of trying to start trouble. Things get heated when Tom brings up the rumors about Brittany and Kristen, and Jax storms out of the party.

Back at SUR, tensions continue to simmer. Scheana Shay is still at odds with Katie and Stassi, but she tries to make amends by inviting them to a joint birthday party with her husband Mike. The girls are hesitant to accept, knowing that Scheana is still on the outs with them.

Meanwhile, Ariana Madix is dealing with some personal issues of her own. She confides in Lisa that she's been struggling with depression, and Lisa encourages her to seek therapy to deal with her feelings.

As the episode comes to a close, the SUR staff are still reeling from the events of Jax's birthday party. Will they be able to put their differences aside and move forward, or will their relationships continue to deteriorate? Only time will tell.
