Vampirina season 2 episode 9, titled "Home Scream Home," follows the adventures of Vee and her family as they plan a family vacation. However, Vee's grandmother, Nanpire, insists that they visit her in the spooky and eerie Spookelton Castle. Vee's parents are hesitant but suggested for only a one-night stay.
Upon arriving at the castle, the family discovers that it is not merely just a visit but an invitation to stay permanently! Vee and her family loves her grandmother so much but they worry about leaving their home in Pennsylvania. Vee's mother, Oxana, tries to persuade Nanpire to visit them in their home instead of them moving there but Nanpire seems to have already made up her mind.
Vee and her family venture around the castle and start getting very unsettled. The castle is full of mysterious secrets, and the family starts to learn about each of them through strange events which culminates to the point where Vee admits to her grandmother that she's unsure if she can be happy there.
Nanpire tells her about when she and her husband first moved into the castle. At that point, she also struggled with making it her home, and she eventually managed to do so with the help of her husband. She encourages Vee that they could make the castle their own and find happiness there too. After hearing this, Vee realizes that she's up for the challenge and gives it a try.
The family begins to get engaged in the community events that are organised periodically. For instance, Mr. Gore is organising a musical Halloween parade, and Vee's family participates in it. However, an accident ruins the things, and Nanpire works with the neighbours to save the parade.
In the end, Vee's family decides that they can indeed adjust and be happy in the castle, but they would have to make it feel like their home and not just a place to live. Vee's family seems to have found their new "Home Scream Home," and they have finally come to accept that all they really need is their family with them to be happy, no matter where they are.
