Unsellable Houses is a home renovation and flipping show that follows twin sisters, Lyndsay Lamb and Leslie Davis, as they help homeowners in the Pacific Northwest sell their outdated or unsellable homes. In season 1 episode 10, titled Better Than New, the sisters take on a two-story home in Snohomish, Washington, that has been sitting on the market for over 200 days. The house is 1,800 square feet with three bedrooms and two bathrooms, but it is outdated and in need of major renovations.

The sisters meet with the homeowner, Katie, and immediately see the potential in the home. However, Katie is hesitant about spending money on renovations since the house has not sold yet. The sisters reassure her that investing in renovations will increase the home's value and make it more sellable.

The first thing the sisters address is the home's exterior. They repaint the entire house, replace the roof, and update the front porch with new railings and light fixtures. The exterior of the house is transformed and now has great curb appeal.

Moving inside, the sisters tackle the outdated kitchen. They remove the old cabinets and countertops and replace them with new modern ones. They also add a new backsplash and update the appliances. The new kitchen is now bright and airy, perfect for attracting potential buyers.

The sisters move on to the living room, which is dark and cramped. They remove the old fireplace and replace it with a modern electric one, which not only looks great but is also much more efficient. They also remove a wall dividing the living room and dining room to create an open floor plan, making the space feel much larger.

In the upstairs bedrooms, the sisters remove old carpeting and replace it with new hardwood flooring. They also update the lighting fixtures and give the rooms a fresh coat of paint. The bathrooms are also updated with new vanities, mirrors, and lighting.

The biggest transformation in the house comes with the addition of a new master suite. The sisters convert a small storage room into a beautiful, spacious master bedroom with a walk-in closet and a new master bathroom. The bathroom features a large, luxurious shower and new tiling.

Throughout the renovation process, the sisters keep potential buyers in mind. They choose modern, neutral colors and finishes that will appeal to a wide range of tastes. The renovations add $90,000 in value to the home, which the sisters hope will help it sell quickly.

After several open houses and a few interested buyers, Katie finally receives an offer on her home. The buyers fall in love with the house's new modern finishes and great location. Thanks to the sisters' renovations, Katie is able to sell her home for more than she had expected and in a much shorter amount of time.

In the end, the sisters are able to help Katie achieve her goal of selling her home and move on to the next chapter of her life. Better Than New is a satisfying episode that showcases the sisters' skills in transforming an outdated home into a modern, sellable one.
