They have discovered that Jimmy had a close relationship with a number of people in his life, including his girlfriend, his best friend, and his business partner.
The detectives focus on Jimmy's girlfriend, Alison, who is now married and has two children. They interview her and discover that she had a tumultuous relationship with Jimmy. They also find out that Alison had an affair with Jimmy's best friend, Pete, and that she had told Pete about Jimmy's plans to leave her.
Meanwhile, the investigation leads Cassie and Sunny to a homeless man who may have witnessed Jimmy's murder. They track him down and question him, but he is hesitant to talk.
Back at the police station, Cassie receives a call from her father, who has been missing for several days. She decides to take a break from the investigation to search for him, but she is later informed that her father has been found dead.
As the investigation continues, Cassie and Sunny discover that Jimmy's business partner, Eric, had a financial dispute with him. They bring him in for questioning but he denies any involvement in the murder.
As the episode comes to a close, the detectives receive a phone call from the homeless man they had questioned earlier. He informs them that he saw a man leaving the area around the time of Jimmy's murder. The detectives are hopeful that this could be a breakthrough in their investigation.
