We're Back, Baby, the first episode of Unexpected season 3, re-introduces viewers to some of their favorite teen moms and dads as they navigate the challenges of parenthood and growing up.
One of the main focuses of this episode is McKayla, who has moved back home with her mother after the end of her relationship with Caelan. McKayla's primary concern is finding a place to live for herself and her two children, Timmy and Gracelynn, as her mother is not able to provide a permanent home. McKayla is also struggling with her mental health, feeling overwhelmed and isolated as she tries to juggle caring for her children and making a life for herself.
Hailey 2 and Matthew are also back, and their relationship is as tumultuous as ever. Hailey is still struggling with jealousy and trust issues, and Matthew's behavior only adds to her anxiety. The couple is trying to make it work for the sake of their daughter, but it is clear that they have a long way to go.
Rilah and Anthony, who faced obstacles in their relationship last season, are now living together and working on building a stable life for their daughter, Malayah. They are excited to move forward as a family, but Rilah's mother is skeptical of Anthony's commitment and warns her daughter to be careful.
Tyra, who was pregnant last season, has since given birth to a baby girl named Layla. She is struggling with postpartum depression and a strained relationship with her boyfriend, Alex. Tyra's mother, Monique, worries that Tyra is not being honest with herself about the reality of her situation and hopes that she will make the best choices for herself and her daughter.
Finally, viewers are introduced to a new couple, Jenna and Aden, who are expecting a baby together. Jenna is only sixteen and still in high school, while Aden is nineteen and already graduated. They are both excited about becoming parents but are also facing judgment from their families and communities. Jenna's mother is particularly concerned with her daughter's well-being and hopes that she will be able to finish school and pursue her dreams despite the challenges of motherhood.
We're Back, Baby sets the stage for an emotional and dramatic season as these young parents try to navigate adulthood and parenthood at the same time. With new challenges and obstacles around every corner, it is clear that this season will be full of surprises and unexpected twists.
