DTEC seeks to capture and control the monsters that invade Earth, hoping to exploit their powers for profit and power. They clash with the EDF and Ultraman X in several battles, and it is revealed that Guruman Sidu has a personal connection to Dr. Guruman, which complicates the situation.

The third arc introduces a new Ultraman hero, Zero, who arrives from a distant planet to help Ultraman X and the EDF against a powerful alien empire called the Magma Beast Army. This arc features many epic battles and key plot developments, including a betrayal within the EDF and the reveal of Ultraman X's true origin.

Throughout the series, the heroes encounter a wide variety of monsters and aliens, some of which are classic creatures from the Ultraman franchise, such as Gomora, Eleking, and King Joe.
