Ep 1. Ultraman Tiga: S1 E1 - Inheritance Of Light

Ultraman Tiga: S1 E1 - Inheritance Of Light follows the story of a young man named Daigo Madoka who inherits a power that he never knew existed. The episode starts with Daigo returning to his hometown after spending many years away studying. His mother works as a scientist at the TPC (Terrestrial Peaceable Consortium) and she requested him to come back.

Daigo finds himself at a scene where an unearthly monster attacks his hometown and defeats the TPC’s special forces who were sent to investigate. During the chaos, Daigo sees a blazing light that triggers a memory of his past. In that memory, he discovers he had gained the ability to transform into a giant superhero named Ultraman Tiga when he was a child.

Daigo is initially skeptical of Rena’s claims as he had no recollection of his powers, but several events convince him that he is indeed the inheritor. He also learns that Ultraman Tiga is just one of many Ultraman heroes who protect the earth from evil forces.

In this episode, Daigo deals with the challenges of accepting his role as the new Ultraman Tiga, grappling with the reality of the newfound responsibility and accepting the hierarchy amongst the Ultraman heroes. He also meets with his mother's colleague, Dr. Jean Gabriel, who provides him with critical technical assistance in understanding the power and technology behind the Ultra heroes.

The episode also introduces the audience to a group of mysterious aliens known as the GUTS Wing, who also work for TPC. They are determined to unravel the mystery behind the appearance of the monster and have a deep interest in Ultraman Tiga's powers.

Throughout the episode, we see Daigo’s character development from a self-doubting man who initially refuses to acknowledge his role as the incoming protector of the earth to someone who is willing to accept the challenge and defend his planet.
