Tyler Perry's Assisted Living is a comedy series from BET that premiered in 2020. The show stars David Mann as Mr. Brown, a character he previously played in another Tyler Perry series, Meet The Browns. The show follows Mr. Brown as he moves to a new town to help his daughter with her struggling assisted living facility.

The series is centered around the quirky residents of the facility, as well as the family dynamics between Mr. Brown, his daughter, her husband, and their two children. Mr. Brown initially moves into the facility under the guise of being a resident, but quickly becomes involved in the day-to-day operations of the facility as he tries to help his daughter turn it around.

The show is a classic sitcom, complete with a laugh track and over-the-top humor. Many of the jokes come from the eccentric residents of the facility, each with their own unique personalities and quirks. For example, there's the perpetually horny resident who is always trying to steal kisses from the female staff, the former athlete who is still convinced he can compete, and the resident who is convinced that aliens are coming to take her away.

Of course, as with any Tyler Perry production, the show also has its fair share of heartwarming moments. Mr. Brown's relationship with his granddaughter, in particular, is incredibly touching. Throughout the series, we see him trying to be a positive influence in her life, often in the face of her parents' more hands-off approach to parenting.

Despite its many strengths, the show has not been without criticisms. Some viewers have taken issue with the show's portrayal of aging and disability, arguing that it relies too heavily on stereotypes and tropes. Others have argued that the show is simply not funny enough, with some even going so far as to call it "cringe-worthy."

Regardless of its flaws, Tyler Perry's Assisted Living has managed to find an audience. In addition to David Mann's legion of fans from Meet The Browns, the show has also gained a following among viewers who appreciate its lighthearted take on the struggles of aging and caregiving. Whether you're looking for a laugh or a heartwarming moment, this show might be worth checking out.

Tyler Perry's Assisted Living is a series that ran for 5 seasons (102 episodes) between September 2, 2020 and on BET
