Ep 9. Shoes, Hats, Pickle Jar Lids (aka Tight's Good)

Alan is stressed out with his financial situation and decides to pawn some of his stuff to make ends meet. However, when he invites Charlie to come along, Charlie ends up pawning his own stuff too. Meanwhile, Jake is at home with Berta and they are trying to open a stubborn pickle jar lid. Jake's attempts range from using brute force to hot water, but nothing seems to work. Berta suggests they call Judith for help, but Jake refuses, claiming he can handle it himself. As the day goes on, Alan and Charlie realize they have made a big mistake by pawning their items and rush back to the pawn shop to reclaim them. Back at the house, Jake finally manages to open the pickle jar lid by employing a creative solution that leaves both him and Berta surprised.
