Alan and Charlie are getting ready for Christmas when Alan gets a call from his real estate office to accompany his boss, Judy, to the annual charity event, Santa's Village. Judy mentions that she will be bringing her daughter with her and asks if Alan would be willing to bring Jake along to be a companion for her daughter. Alan agrees, but as soon as he mentions it to Jake, his son refuses to go.
Meanwhile, Charlie is stuck with his ex-girlfriend, Lisa, who has turned up unannounced and is looking for a place to stay. Charlie reluctantly agrees to let her stay for a few days, hoping to have some fun with her before sending her on her way. However, Lisa's true motives for showing up become clear when she reveals that she is pregnant and needs Charlie's help.
At Santa's Village, Alan is stuck babysitting Judy's daughter, Ashley, who turns out to be a real handful. Ashley is always getting into trouble, and Alan is at his wits' end trying to control her. To make matters worse, Jake shows up with his friend Eldridge, and the two boys start causing chaos.
Meanwhile, Charlie is dealing with Lisa's pregnancy news and trying to figure out how to break the news to his current girlfriend, Mia. He turns to Alan for advice, but Alan is busy dealing with Ashley and can't really help. In the end, Charlie decides to tell Mia the truth, but it doesn't go well, and she breaks up with him.
Back at Santa's Village, Alan and Jake are still trying to keep Ashley under control, but things only get worse when Ashley goes missing. They eventually find her with Eldridge, who has taken her to the haunted house attraction. However, when they come out, they're not alone - Ashley has brought back a ghostly presence with her.
The rest of the episode follows the group as they try to get rid of the ghost and fix all of the other problems they've encountered along the way. In typical Two and a Half Men fashion, there are plenty of laughs along the way, and the episode ends on a heartwarming note. It's a classic holiday episode that fans of the show are sure to love.
