TruTV's hit show, World's Dumbest, returns with its fifth season, bringing viewers some of the most ridiculous, outrageous, and stupid moments caught on camera. In episode 7, titled "World's Dumbest Criminals 14," the show's cast of comedians and experts take a look at some of the most baffling and inept crimes ever committed.
The episode starts off with a bang, as the World's Dumbest team takes a look at a man who tried to rob a convenience store with a banana. Yes, you read that right: a banana. Armed with nothing but the fruit, the man attempts to intimidate the store clerk into handing over some cash. Needless to say, it doesn't go according to plan, and the man flees the store empty-handed.
From there, the show dives into a series of unlucky and clueless criminals. We see a man who gets caught trying to steal a bike from a police station, a couple who attempts to rob a convenience store, but forgets to bring a getaway car, and a group of burglars who end up trapped in the very house they were trying to rob.
One of the most bizarre stories featured in this episode involves a man who tries to steal a car, only to get trapped inside it and end up calling the police for help. As the comedians point out, this is not exactly the behavior of a seasoned criminal mastermind.
Of course, no episode of World's Dumbest would be complete without a visit from the show's resident legal expert, Tom O'Connor. O'Connor provides insight into the legal consequences of some of the crimes featured in the episode, and also points out some of the more ridiculous laws that criminals have run afoul of.
As always, the show's witty cast of comedians provides plenty of laughs throughout the episode. Though the crimes being showcased are often serious, the World's Dumbest team manages to find the humor in even the most baffling situations. Whether it's making fun of a criminal's poorly executed plan or poking fun at a judge's quirky behavior, the comedians keep things light-hearted and entertaining.
Overall, "World's Dumbest Criminals 14" is a solid entry in the World's Dumbest series. Though some of the jokes and commentary can be a bit crude at times, the show remains a guilty pleasure for fans of true crime and comedy alike. So if you're looking for a laugh at the expense of some idiotic criminals, be sure to tune in to this episode of World's Dumbest.
