Ep 8. Night on the Sun

Sookie is frustrated with Bill's continued lies and strange behavior, but her concerns take a backseat when Eric comes to see her. Sookie is wary of Eric, given their history, but he reveals to her that Bill's true agenda involves the queen herself. Eric enlists Sookie's help in overthrowing the queen, and even though Sookie is hesitant, she realizes that Eric's plan may be the only hope they have to get Bill back.

Meanwhile, Lafayette is still reeling from his ordeal with Eric. He's also struggling with the knowledge that he's a medium, and his connection to the dead is becoming stronger and more difficult to ignore. He seeks out Jesus, the new worker at Merlotte's, who also happens to be a brujo (a kind of witch). Jesus helps Lafayette learn how to control his powers, but in the process, something sinister is revealed about Jesus' past.

Jessica is dealing with her own problems, specifically her love triangle with Hoyt and Jason. She's reeling from Hoyt's discovery that she slept with Jason, and Jason is struggling with his own guilt over the situation. Meanwhile, Bill uses Jessica as a pawn in his plan to overthrow the queen, and she's torn between loyalty to Bill and her feelings for Hoyt.

Elsewhere, Tara is still trying to figure out her place in the world. She's working at Merlotte's and trying to move on from her past, but she's haunted by her memories of Eggs. She also finds herself drawn to a mysterious woman named Naomi, who seems to have some kind of connection to Tara's past.

As the night wears on, tensions rise and secrets are revealed. Bill's plan to overthrow the queen comes to fruition, but not without a high cost. Lives are lost, alliances are tested, and nothing will ever be the same again.

Night on the Sun is a tense, action-packed episode that serves as a turning point for many of the characters. The stakes are higher than ever before, and as the season approaches its climax, the show delivers some of its most shocking moments yet.
