In the second episode of True Blood season 2, titled "Keep This Party Going," the residents of Bon Temps are trying to move on from the recent vampire attacks. Bill is dealing with the aftermath of killing Longshadow, and Sookie is having trouble reconciling her feelings for him. Meanwhile, Tara and Lafayette attend a party hosted by Maryann, a mysterious and charismatic woman who has recently come to town.
As the party gets underway, the guests begin to indulge in drugs, alcohol, and sensual pleasures. Tara becomes enamored with Maryann, while Lafayette is skeptical of her motives. Sam, who has been hiding his shapeshifter abilities, encounters Maryann and senses that there is more to her than meets the eye.
Back at Merlotte's, Jason is struggling with his newfound leadership role in the Fellowship of the Sun. He is eager to prove himself to their leader, Steve Newlin, but finds himself questioning the organization's extreme tactics.
As the night wears on, strange things begin to happen at the party. People begin to act out of character, and a sense of menace pervades the air. Sam's suspicions about Maryann grow stronger, leading him to take action to protect his friends from her influence.
As the episode comes to a close, Bill and Sookie's relationship takes a decisive turn, and a shocking revelation about Maryann leaves viewers wondering what her true intentions are and how she will impact the characters of Bon Temps in the coming episodes.
