Jim Lake Jr. is still adjusting to his new role as a Trollhunter when he is summoned by the troll council to help solve a problem. Apparently, someone or something is disrupting the annual gathering of troll leaders with loud, disruptive music. The trolls are eager to find out who is responsible for this disturbance and put a stop to it immediately.
Jim is immediately interested in the case and asks his friend, Toby, and their troll ally, Blinky, to help him investigate the matter. Jim, Toby, and Blinky head to the location of the disturbance, only to find a group of gnomes playing music in the middle of the troll gathering. The gnomes are led by a sassy, confident gnome named NotEnrique, who tells Jim and his friends that they are there to perform at the annual gathering as part of a traditional celebration.
Jim and his friends try to convince NotEnrique and the gnomes to leave, but NotEnrique insists that they have a right to be there. Things escalate quickly as NotEnrique challenges Jim to a musical duel, using his magical music instruments to create a showstopping performance that leaves the entire troll community in awe.
Despite NotEnrique's impressive musical skills, Jim is determined to stop the disturbance and protect the safety of the troll gathering. He tries to intervene by using his own musical talents, but his efforts are met with failure. However, after a heart-to-heart conversation with NotEnrique, Jim learns that the gnome is simply trying to be heard and recognized for his unique talents.
After much discussion and negotiation, Jim and his friends are able to find a solution that satisfies both the gnomes and the trolls. The gnomes agree to turn down their music and leave after their performance, and the troll gathering continues without further disruption. In the end, Jim and his friends learn an important lesson about the importance of listening to and understanding different perspectives, even when they seem conflicting.
