Ep 1. Becoming: Part 1

In Trollhunters: Tales of Arcadia season 1 episode 1, titled "Becoming: Part 1," we are introduced to Jim Lake, a teenage boy who recently lost his father. Jim is struggling to fit in at school and is having a tough time dealing with his grief. One day, while exploring an abandoned amusement park with his best friend Toby, Jim stumbles upon a mysterious amulet. This amulet sets in motion a chain of events that will change Jim's life forever.

The amulet is revealed to be a powerful and ancient artifact that grants its wearer the title of Trollhunter, destined to protect a secret underground civilization of trolls from evil forces that seek to destroy them. The current Trollhunter, a gruff and battle-hardened warrior named Kanjigar, recognizes Jim as the chosen one and quickly sets him on the path to becoming the next Trollhunter.

Jim is understandably overwhelmed by all of this, but he is determined to rise to the challenge. He begins receiving intense training from Kanjigar and is introduced to a host of colorful and eccentric characters that make up the troll community. We meet Blinky and AAARRRGGHH, two trusty allies who will become Jim's closest friends and advisers throughout his journey.

However, the life of a Trollhunter is far from easy. Jim must learn to balance his newfound responsibilities with his normal teenage life, keeping his secret from his family and friends. He also faces constant threats from ruthless trolls who are intent on taking the amulet and using its power for their own gain.

As the episode draws to a close, Jim is faced with his first major task as the Trollhunter. He must confront a dangerous troll assassin called Bular, who seeks to claim the amulet and use it to free his imprisoned master, the evil troll Gumm-Gumm. Jim and his friends go to great lengths to stop Bular and save the troll community from certain doom.

"Becoming: Part 1" sets the stage for an epic adventure filled with action, humor, and heart. Jim must navigate the complexities of his new role while protecting his loved ones and battling against formidable enemies. As he struggles to find his place in this strange new world, he quickly learns that being a hero is not just about physical strength, but also about bravery, determination, and the power of friendship.
