Trivial Takedown is a fast-paced game show that premiered on Fuse in October 2017. Hosted by comedian Matt Richards, the show features two contestants who battle it out in a trivia contest to determine who will come out on top. Each episode of Trivial Takedown is divided into three rounds. In the first round, the contestants are given a category and must answer as many multiple-choice questions as they can in 30 seconds. The contestant with the most correct answers at the end of the round advances to the second round.
Round two is called "Takedown," and it's where things get interesting. The contestant who advanced from round one gets to choose from a list of categories, and then they choose which of their opponent's social media accounts they will use to find the questions for the round. That's right -- the questions come from their opponent's social media!
The opponent then has to answer five questions pulled from their social media history within 30 seconds. But here's the twist: for each question they get wrong, their opponent gets to spray them with a fire extinguisher!
The final round is called "Ultimate Takedown." The contestants are given a category and have to answer as many questions as they can in 60 seconds. But this time, both contestants are sprayed with fire extinguishers for each question they get wrong!
Trivial Takedown is not your typical game show. The questions are designed to be fun and quirky, and the use of social media to find the questions adds a unique twist to the game. Plus, the added element of being sprayed with a fire extinguisher adds a level of hilarity that isn't found in most other game shows.
In addition to host Matt Richards, the show features two celebrity panelists. One of these panelists is German DJ and comedian Flula Borg. Borg provides commentary and humor throughout the show, often making sarcastic remarks about the contestants.
The other panelist is hip-hop artist Lizzo. Lizzo brings her infectious personality to the show, and her enthusiasm is contagious. She often joins in the spraying of the fire extinguishers, adding to the overall silliness of the show.
In addition to the humor and quirkiness of the show, Trivial Takedown also has a unique visual style. The set features bright, neon colors and uses graphics that are reminiscent of classic video games. The overall effect is a show that feels like it's straight out of the '80s.
Trivial Takedown is a fun and unique take on the traditional game show format. It's fast-paced, hilarious, and has a cast of characters who are sure to keep viewers entertained. Whether you're a trivia buff or just looking for a good laugh, Trivial Takedown is a show that's worth checking out.
