Lawrence wakes up in his car. He counts his remaining money on the passenger seat -coins only -then starts the engine. Lawrence sneaks in to his and Molly's building, looking around nervously. He leaves his paycheque in their post-box then hurries away.

Aisling discovers that Lawrence spent the night elsewhere. To Molly's surprise, she's very upset. As Adam and Ruth prepare breakfast a semi-naked Lawrence appears to complain that there's no shampoo in the bathroom.

In the office, Tina can't get over how good Lawrence was at the quiz. George is mocking and Lawrence accuses him of jealousy. The ensuing row is broken up by an exasperated Stephen.

At work, loan application sob story from a woman with MS leads Lawrence on to a trivia-laden discussion of The West Wing. Tina is impressed again but George -who's her ex, we learn -is not.

Adam visits the flat to deliver a moving-in-together gift. He doesn't reveal that Lawrence came to see him during the quiz. Molly is home alone; Lawrence, she announces, is at his first ever job interview.
