It is the eighth episode of Trinity Blood season 1 named "Silent Noise." The episode takes place after the assassination attempt on Cardinal Caterina and the concurrent departure of Sister Esther and her mentor Abel from the Vatican. Cain, the antagonist, had earlier learned from her elder sister, Lilith, of the Vatican's development of an advanced information-gathering system called "Silent Noise." Cain planned to stop Silent Noise as he believed it could became a tool to defeat him in the future.
The episode begins with a flashback. Cardinal Caterina had ordered her subordinates to develop an advanced information collection system in response to Cain's threatening power. This system was developed with the help of an AI named MA43720, which can operate independently without human intervention. Silent Noise's performance surpassed the Vatican's expectations, and it quickly became a crucial tool in the Vatican's battle against the Methuselah.
Coming back to the present, Sister Esther is seen at the Sister's convent, struggling with her duties. She is depressed, lonely, and misses Abel, who is work at Rome. While lamenting her situation, she hears a strange voice calling out her name, and she turns around to investigate.
Soon after, a group of vampires attacks the convent. While the sisters are running for their lives, Esther comes across a mage who reveals that he saved her life by driving off the attackers with his magical abilities. During their conversation, he warns Esther about the dangers of Silent Noise, and it transpires that he was the one who manipulated her into coming to the convent.
Meanwhile, Cardinal Caterina gives instructions to Sister Kate, ordering her to escort MA43720, which is the core of Silent Noise, back to Rome. Ahead of them is an arduous journey through enemy territory, with the possibility of danger at every turn.
The episode takes another turn when Cardinal Caterina receives information that silent noise has been hacked, putting MA43720 and Rome at risk. She sends a request to Abel for his assistance and then sets out in pursuit of MA43720 and Sister Kate, whom she had previously dispatched to safeguard the information-gathering tool.
Abel, along with his partner, a gunswoman, arrives just in time to help Sister Kate, who is being assaulted by vampires who want not only to take control of Silent Noise but also to kill anyone who stands in their way. Abel's arrival turns the tide of the battle, and he is able to vanquish the attacking vampires quickly.
At the same time, Cain sets his plan of destroying the Vatican's advanced information system into action. He unleashes troops on the Vatican's city headquarters and succeeds in infiltrating the system. With the help of his traitorous team, he manages to insert a destructive virus into Silent Noise, which spreads rapidly and puts the Vatican at risk of losing all of its crucial intelligence information.
As the episode approaches its conclusion, Cardinal Caterina finally catches up with the hijacked Silent Noise, and events unfold in an intense climax. Esther also finds herself in grave danger on the convent grounds, with only the mage by her side, she is about to face the brunt of Cain's dangerous plan.
