In this episode of Treehouse Masters, the team heads to Texas to build a unique treehouse for a client who is a big fan of western movies. The client, Kenda, has requested a treehouse that looks like a Wild West saloon and can accommodate a group of her friends.
The team starts by scouting for the perfect trees to build the main structure of the treehouse. They settle on two large oak trees with a good distance between them and a sturdy base for support. They then sketch out the design of the treehouse and get to work.
The first step is to create the deck of the saloon, which will serve as the main gathering area. They start with the base of the deck and reinforce it with sturdy beams to ensure it can support the weight of the treehouse. They then start building the railing around the deck to give it a rustic feel.
Next, the team starts constructing the main structure of the treehouse, which will house the bar area and the living quarters. They use cedarwood to give the treehouse a classic, western look. They install windows and a door to allow for natural light and easy access.
Before they can continue, the team has to face a major setback when a thunderstorm hits the area. They have to halt their work and wait for the rain to pass before continuing. This delay pushes their schedule back, but they make up for lost time by working late into the night.
Once the main structure is up, the team starts building the roof. They use rustic metal panels to give it a western-style look and have to rely on special machinery to lift the heavy panels onto the treehouse.
The most challenging aspect of this treehouse is designing the bar area. The team wants to make sure it is functional yet has the feel of a Wild West saloon. They install a working bar with a sink, counter, and stools. They also add custom lighting to give the area an authentic feel.
Finally, the team gets to work on the living quarters, which will be a cozy loft area above the bar. They install a staircase for easy access and furnish the loft with a comfy bed, chairs, and a table. They also add unique decorative elements, like a wagon wheel chandelier, to tie the Wild West theme together.
Once the treehouse is complete, the clients are thrilled with the final product. They are excited to share it with their friends and enjoy many happy hours in their new High Noon Saloon.
