Ep 3. Darkness Rising, Pt. 3

In this third and final part of the Darkness Rising story arc, the Autobots continue their battle against the Decepticons as Megatron and his team try to obtain a relic that would give them control over the Earth's energy.

The episode begins with Starscream returning to base with the Apex Armor, a powerful suit that can enhance a Transformer's strength and abilities. While Arcee, Bulkhead, and Bumblebee deal with the power outage, Optimus and Ratchet visit an ancient site in search of a relic. They are confronted by two Decepticons, Breakdown and Airachnid, who have also come for the same artifact. A fierce battle ensues, with Ratchet being critically injured and the Decepticons escaping with the relic.

Meanwhile, the other Autobots come across a mysterious warehouse and discover that Megatron's plan involves using the human-made Energon machines to channel the Earth's energy into the Apex Armor, making whoever wears it virtually invincible. They are ambushed by the Decepticons, who have already set up a trap. While the Autobots manage to destroy the Apex Armor and defeat their enemies, they are unable to save Ratchet and must evacuate him to safety.

In the end, the Autobots reflect on their victory and losses, and Optimus admits that their war with the Decepticons has reached a new level of intensity. Jack also receives a call from his mother, who thanks him for saving the day and making her proud. The episode ends with Megatron vowing to continue his quest for power and revenge against the Autobots.
