Ep 16. Megatron Rising (2)

As the second part of the "Megatron Rising" story, episode 16 of Transformers Animated season 1 picks up where the last one left off. Back in the city, the Autobots use the relic to power up their weapons and prepare for Megatron's attack. However, the Decepticons arrive first and begin their assault on the city. Despite their best efforts, the Autobots are quickly overwhelmed and forced to retreat.

As the battle rages on, Optimus Prime finally locates Megatron and engages him in an epic showdown. The two leaders fight with all their might, but it quickly becomes clear that Megatron is far too powerful for Optimus to defeat alone. Just as all seems lost, the other Autobots arrive with the relic and use its power to weaken Megatron long enough for Optimus to deal the finishing blow.

With Megatron defeated, the Decepticons retreat and the Autobots are left to pick up the pieces. As they survey the damage, Optimus Prime finally realizes the true depth of Megatron's tyranny and vows to never let anything like this happen again. The episode ends with the Autobots preparing to move forward, but knowing that there will always be more battles to fight in the ongoing war between the Autobots and Decepticons.
