In episode 3 of season 10 of Trading Spaces, titled "Ferris Wheels and Pinwheels," two teams of designers and homeowners are tasked with swapping rooms in each other's homes and revamping them within a budget of $2,000.
The homeowners of the first home, located in San Antonio, Texas, are a husband and wife with two young boys. They have requested a kid-friendly room for their sons that can also double as a guest bedroom for family and friends. The designers decide to create a carnival-inspired space, complete with a custom-built ferris wheel bookshelf and pinwheel accents throughout the room. The homeowners' reactions to the finished product will be the ultimate test of whether the designers have successfully achieved their vision.
The second home, located in Portland, Oregon, belongs to a couple who are avid gardeners and have requested a living space that reflects their love for the outdoors. They want to transform their drab living room into a serene space that incorporates greenery and natural elements. The designers, however, have different ideas and will incorporate bold colors and unconventional materials to create a statement piece in the room. The ultimate challenge will be finding a way to balance the homeowners' desire for a calming environment with the designers' creative vision.
As always, the two teams will have just two days to complete their designs and will need to work quickly and efficiently to stay within their budget. Along the way, they will encounter obstacles and challenges, including unexpected design issues and disagreements between team members. However, with the help of host Paige Davis and a team of experts, they will navigate these challenges and hopefully create two beautiful and functional spaces that the homeowners will love.
Will the designers be able to create the rooms of their clients' dreams, or will their visions fall short? Tune in to find out in season 10, episode 3 of Trading Spaces, "Ferris Wheels and Pinwheels."
