In Total Dramarama season 2 episode 28, titled "Dude Where's Macaw," the daycare is transformed into a jungle for the class's field trip. The kids are all excited to see the exotic birds that will be residing in their environment. When Chef hands out flashy vests to all the kids, Duncan, who for some reason hasn't been given one, becomes upset, and his attitude makes him start to feel ostracized.
As the class starts to explore the jungle, they soon realize that something is amiss. One of the exotic birds, Macaw, has gone missing. The children team up to find him but can't seem to locate the bird anywhere. Even Chef joins in on the search. Although he's not a fan of the kids' constant bickering, Chef finds himself feeling guilty for misplacing the bird. In a desperate attempt to redeem himself, Chef and the kids start to look for Macaw everywhere they can think of.
As the search drags on for a while, the kids begin to tire and grow uninterested in the initiative to find the bird. However, Duncan's newfound passion for finding Macaw keeps him driving. Soon he discovers some useful clues that the other children miss, allowing him and his makeshift team of Harold and Bridgette to split off and continue the search independently.
Meanwhile, the other children have lost all hope of finding the elusive bird, and they settle in to enjoying the sunshine and the rest of their day out in the jungle. However, as time passes, Duncan and his team discover that the jungle holds many secrets, some they never realized, and others they have taken for granted.
With Duncan focused and alert, they follow a lead that takes them up a tree, over a bridge, along a creek, and through a tunnel. Finally, they reach a campsite that proves to be the missing bird's last known location. They find themselves on high alert as they approach the camp through the jungle, where they see something that they never expected...
After several failed attempts to get the bird to safety, the kids unite and create a plan that will require all of both their skill sets and courage. With their patience and bravery, they save the day and become the stars of their field trip to the jungle. In the end, Chef realizes that the children deserve more trust and respect than he had given them, and Duncan learns an important lesson about inclusion.
