In Top Gear season 5 episode 7, the trio of Jeremy Clarkson, Richard Hammond, and James May embark on an epic race across Japan. The challenge is to see who can make it from the city of Tokyo to the top of a mountain called Mount Nokogiri first. But there's a catch: each presenter has to take a different mode of transportation.
Jeremy chooses to take the iconic Japanese bullet train, which is known for its speed and efficiency. Richard opts for a car, a Subaru Impreza WRX STi, known for its agility and handling. Meanwhile, James decides to go by bike, choosing a Yamaha XV1900A cruiser motorcycle.
The journey takes them through some of Japan's most beautiful and challenging terrain, including winding mountain roads, treacherous river crossings, and steep cliffs. Along the way, they encounter a number of cultural experiences such as trying traditional Japanese cuisine, partaking in a tea ceremony, and even visiting a karaoke bar.
As they race to the top of Mount Nokogiri, tensions rise and tempers flare, with each presenter determined to win the challenge at all costs. However, setbacks and obstacles throw each of them off course, causing their lead to fluctuate throughout the race.
Ultimately, the showdown comes down to the wire, with the presenters arriving at the finishing line in dramatic fashion. Who will emerge victorious in this epic race across Japan? Tune in to find out in Top Gear season 5 episode 7.
