Ep 7. Calypso Cat

Tom and Jerry season 3 episode 7, titled "Calypso Cat," follows the familiar rivalry between the titular duo. The episode begins with Tom lounging on the beach and Jerry hopping along a pier. As they bask in the sun, they both spot a new cat in town, a calypso-singing cat with a guitar. The new cat, dubbed "Calypso Cat," immediately catches the attention of all the female cats in the area, causing Tom to feel jealous and threatened.

Tom's plan involves a makeshift island, a palm tree, and a large rock. He plans to trap Calypso Cat on the island by placing the rock on one end of the palm tree, causing the other end to fly up and catapult Calypso Cat onto the island. Once Calypso Cat is trapped, Tom can have all the attention he wants from the female cats.

As Tom sets his plan into motion, Jerry tries to warn Calypso Cat of the impending danger. But Calypso Cat is too busy singing and playing his guitar to listen. When Tom's plan is successful and Calypso Cat is trapped on the island, the female cats are all swooning over Tom. But Jerry is not happy with the situation. He knows that it's wrong to treat Calypso Cat this way just because he's different.

Jerry comes up with a plan to rescue Calypso Cat. He borrows a pair of swim trunks from one of the female cats and makes his way to the island. Once there, he uses a snorkel and some flippers to swim around the island undetected. He manages to grab Calypso Cat and pull him off the island, just as Tom is celebrating his victory.

As Jerry and Calypso Cat swim away, Tom is left feeling defeated. But he soon realizes the error of his ways. He apologizes to Calypso Cat and asks him to join in on the fun. Calypso Cat agrees and soon all three cats are singing and playing music together on the beach.

The episode ends with the trio enjoying the beautiful day and the company of each other. The lesson learned in "Calypso Cat" is that it's important to accept and appreciate people (or cats) who are different from us. It's a heartwarming message that resonates with viewers of all ages.
