The puppy is causing chaos in the house with his hiccups. Every time he hiccups, something falls or breaks. So, Tom and Jerry team up and try to find various ways to cure the puppy's hiccups.
They try all sorts of tricks like giving the puppy a scare, offering him water, and exhausting him with exercise, but nothing seems to work. The hiccups just won't go away. The duo tries to ignore the puppy and just let him hiccup it out, but the puppy's constant hiccupping is more than they can handle.
As the day goes on, the situation in the house gets more and more out of hand. The puppy's hiccups start to affect the furniture and even Tom and Jerry themselves. They try to get away from the puppy, but he follows them around hiccupping everywhere he goes. In a desperation move, Tom and Jerry decide to take the puppy on a wild ride to cure his hiccups.
They take him in a car and drive him through a bumpy road, hoping that it will cure him. But the puppy's hiccups persist even through the ride. They eventually make a stop at a burger joint where they cause more chaos. They try feeding the puppy some burgers, and to everyone's surprise, it actually works. The hiccupping stops, and the puppy goes back to his adorable self.
The episode ends with Tom and Jerry finally getting some peace and quiet. They are relieved that the puppy's hiccups are finally gone. But little do they know, the same burger that cured the puppy's hiccups has given him a case of indigestion, and a whole new set of problems will ensue in the next episode.
