The first episode of To Love ru Darkness season 1, titled "Continue," picks up where the previous season left off. Rito is still struggling to confess his feelings for Haruna, the girl of his dreams. Meanwhile, Lala, Rito's alien fiancée, is still causing chaos wherever she goes. To make things even more complicated, a new girl named Mea Kurosaki has transferred to their school, and she seems to have a mysterious past.
The episode begins with Rito and Lala being summoned by the king and queen of Deviluke to their throne room. There, they meet Mea, who has been sent by the king to serve as Lala's personal guard. Mea appears to be a shy and polite girl, but there is something unsettling about her.
Later, at school, Rito is once again struggling to confess his feelings to Haruna. As he daydreams about her, he accidentally touches her breast, and she slaps him in the face. Meanwhile, Lala and Mea are causing chaos in the classroom with their alien technology. Mea shows off her powers by creating a clone of herself, which promptly goes on a rampage and attacks Rito.
After school, Rito runs into Mea again, and she reveals that she has been sent to Earth to capture Lala. It turns out that Mea is a weapon created by the king of Deviluke for the purpose of eliminating threats to the kingdom. She is able to detect and neutralize any potential threats, and Lala's presence on Earth is considered a threat to the stability of the kingdom.
As the episode goes on, it becomes clear that Mea has a personal grudge against Lala. She believes that Lala betrayed her in the past and abandoned her to be used as a weapon. Mea's mission is to capture Lala and bring her back to Deviluke, but she is torn between her duty and her own feelings.
The episode ends with Mea confronting Lala and Rito, determined to fulfill her mission. However, Lala refuses to go back to Deviluke and insists that she has found happiness on Earth. Mea unleashes her powers, creating a massive explosion that engulfs the entire area.
Overall, "Continue" sets up the conflict for the rest of the season. Mea's mission to capture Lala and Rito's struggles with his feelings for Haruna are sure to provide plenty of drama and comedy in the episodes to come. The episode also introduces the new character of Mea, who promises to be an interesting addition to the series.
